Covering an area of 4,650 square kilometers with a population
of 4.28 million, Wuxi is located in southern Jiangsu in the
central part of the Yangtze River Delta, west to Suzhou and
north to Taihu Lake. It's known as the Lesser Shanghai.
Jichang Garden
Built in the Ming Dynasty, the garden covers one hectare
in area. During their visit to south China, Emperor Kangxi
and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty once stayed here.
The Xiequ Garden of the Summer Palace in Beijing was built
after Jichang Garden.
Taihu Lake
One of China's five major fresh water lakes, Taihu has been
worldwide famous for its fascinating beauty. It covers an
area of 2,250 square kilometers with a lake line of 393 kilometer.
The vastness of Taihu Lake has a special appeal.
Ancient Grand Canal
The Ancient Grand Canal is a wonder of the ancient Chinese
civilization, with a history of 2,400 years. The 1,700-kilometer-long
Grand Canal starts from Beijing and ends at Hangzhou.
