The End of the Earth
and the Corner of the Sea
Located 23 kilometers west of Sanya, this scenic spot consists
of numerous rocks with carvings left behind by men of letters
in ancient China, among which the "End of the Earth",
"the Corner of the Sea", and "No. One Pillar
in Southern Sky" are the famous.
Yalong Bay
Located 28 kilometers southeast of downtown Sanya, Yalong
Bay, in the shape of the crescent moon, is 7.5 kilometers
long. It is known for its white and fine sand, long beach,
the scene of blue sky and the crystal-clear sea water.
Nanshan Cultural Tourist
Area
Located 40 kilometers west of Sanya, the Nanshn cultural
Tourist Area was designed by the New York International City
Design Co. of the United States. It is the first scenic spot
in China that implements the ISO 14,000 environment management
system, displaying mainly Buddhist culture as well as the
Chinese culture, national folklore, ocean scenery and historical
sites.
The Deer Looking Backward
Located in Sanya, the Deer Looking Backward is a giant sculpture
on top of a hill formed of clay. It is in the shape of a deer
looking back ward.
